A pesar de lo mencionado anteriormente, la Internet posee DESVENTAJAS para la educación, tales como:

*La cantidad y calidad de la información encontrada en la red. En esta existe mucha información, pero no toda tiene la calidad necesaria para ser usada para el aprendizaje

*Contenidos inapropiados: En Internet existe todo tipo de información, esto hace referencia a que se tiene acceso información que puede no ser adecuada para nuestra edad y ni mencionar la información que atenta contra los valores y la ética.

Hi!

My name is Katya Cardenas Hernandez, I was born October 25, 1994 and I’m currently 14 years old. I have lived in Barranquilla since I was a child ,I’m studying at 20 de Julio School and I’m coursing in 10th grade and I’m studying at the Colombo Americano in level 8 too.
I considered myself a smiling, responsible and happy person. I want to study Medicine and I aspire to be the best neurologist of Colombia.

My mother’s name is Milena Patricia Hernandez Ahumada, she’s 39 years old and she’s from Barranquilla, she studied to be a preschool teacher and accountant, but when my brother was born she had to leave her job.
She is a woman devoted full time to her home, and therefore she has earned my admiration, since, she always does all and it is as if she never get tired and Besides she is so strong that Even though all the difficulties she always has her heads held high as a virtuous and courageous woman she is.
She’s a very special person for me because I know that I can count on her and Even though her nags I love her because I know that she give all the things for her family.

My father’s name is William Cardenas Uribe, He’s 43 years old and he’s from Cucuta. Since he was a child he had dreamed to be a great military and he came true this dream, at the moment he’s an army subofficer, he cooks a delicious food because he studied to be a chef.
My father is a person who always is when I need and he corrects me when I don’t do something well.
He’s very worker and imperactive, he loves to take apart and fix all the electrical appliance because he has always wanted to study mechanical engineering

My brother is the most important person in my life, his name is William Andres Cardenas Hernandez, and he’s 12 years old. He loves to watch soccer games and he enjoys watching “el chavo”.

My teacher, at the Colombo Americano, is Juan Pacheco. He’s a crazy and funny person but he’s an excellent teacher. I think that I have learned a lot of things of him.

**Overcoming difficulties**

Hello everybody!

I'm going to tell you about the most terrible family experience or perhaps the most has left us good lessons and I don’t know.

This experience is based in the most important person in my life after God of course, my brother.

Ok, His name is William Andres but everybody call him Willy. He is a child who has gained my admiration because even though all the health crisis he has been fighting like a brave that he is, to continue to live and above all he is always happy like if nothing had happened. ¡Oh my God I love him!

After three years that I had born my parents decided that it was time to have another child. Like all parents they wished a child healthy.

Shortly after this decision came the good news that my mother was pregnant.

During nine months the pregnancy took place normal with any sign that indicated any disease in my brother.

On 10 April, 1997 at eight o’clock at the Hospital Metropolitano, the day arrived and with it, the most beautiful gift and the most beautiful boy in the world, my little brother.

During the first three months all the things looked wonderful until on 6th July in the morning Willy got up sneezing and with fever; he was diagnosed bronchitis (inflammation of the bronchi) because of a virus in the environment.

This same day in the evening Willy returned at the hospital, because breathing difficulties got worse. The Willy’s health got worse but the doctors said to my parents “there is still hope”.

The next day Willy was taken to the intensive care unit because he needed artificial oxygen. Three days later, on 10 July at ten o’clock he presented a bronchoaspiration of milk, which resulted in a breathless, his brain didn’t receive oxygen for ten minutes. Something that according to Science should be devastating for his life but thanks God it wasn’t like this.

Although he survived, Willy suffered brain paralysis, which limited him physically since right now he is twelve years old and he can’t speak or walk.

Although these twelve years we have been difficult, this experience has served us for growing stronger our relationship. We are a family full of love, faith, hope thanks this experience.
